What Makes a Great Logo

Logos are a major tool for marketing. You should use them on everything: your business cards, tags, postcards, thank you cards, websites, blogs, Facebook ads, Instagram, etc. EVERYWHERE! So you really, really, really need one. Don't even let me lie to you about that one! Small businesses need one, even you, a direct seller, need one. Not just the one that your company provides, one that separates you from the THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of other consultants. Below are 5 things that make up a great logo! 1. Describable. This means that your logo can easily be described by words ONLY. The feelings, the personality, the mission, should all be known by just the description of your logo. 2. Memorable. Instantly, think of a logo. What's the first one that comes to your mind? (No seriously, comment below what came to mind). It should seriously become the first thing people think (or see in their heads) when they hear your name/company. 3. Effective WITHOUT color. Does your logo convey the same message without color? Sometimes, it is hard to fit a color logo onto images, so using them as white or black is very important. 4. Scalable. It is very important that your logo is able to be read and understood even in a small size on your graphic/images/etc. 5. Relevant. People remember a logo and link it to you/your brand because it is relevant. Keep this in mind as you are creating your logo. If you have a logo, or are thinking of creating one/having one created for you, does it fit this criteria? If you don't have a logo, what would it look like? Comment below to let me know!
