Do you know your slogan?

Knowing your slogan/tagline is the kick in the ass that you need to begin to brand yourself. Before you get a logo, before you start doing all the 'pretty images' and 'cohesive design', you HAVE to know WHO YOU ARE fully! In the past few weeks, I have helped people learn their taglines or who they are. I really want to help you guys learn how you are. It is not only important for yourself, but for your business, families, reinstating the passion in your life. It may not be the perfect way, but here is what I have come up with for learning who you are as a business.

You need to know what sets you apart from everyone else in the world. Whether it be quirkiness, snarkiness, sarcasm. Whatever it is, it will help you to stand out as a person and a brand.

1. Who are you? 2. What is it like to work with you? 3. What do people remember about you?

What are your distinctive qualities when it comes to your industry? What does your product say to you and how can you convey that to other people?

1. What are your favorite things and what do they say about you? 2. How does what you do and your uniqueness, distinguish you from those in your industry?

This step is critical for two reasons: first, it validates that your unique gifts are something people really want/need, and second, it helps you to clarify your objectives.

1. Who is your ideal customer? Write down a few of their qualities. 2. Why are you the person to satisfy their needs? Write down WHY YOU are able to help them.

This last step is one of the most important because it allows you to fully commit to your brand on a personal level and it will get you deeper into an understanding of yourself and your business

1. What are you achieving through this line of work? 2. How are you impacting your customers?

After you have done the above, do me a favor and try to fill out this sentence, then narrow it down to whatever quirky thing you can figure out, or ask in the group how to make it fun.

I am a_______________________________ (your job title/profession) who__________________________________ (how you use your unique talents) for ___________________________________ (your target audience) so they can ____________________________. (the experience you want your audience to have)

If you have written down these questions, share in the group how it has helped you figure out your brand. I really do want to know if this was helpful or not. Not in the group? Click HERE to join
